Level 1 Testing on Tuesday Aug. 19
That’s right sport fans, its testing time. This Tuesday at 7:00pm we will be testing all students that feel they are ready for level 1. If you think you are ready then signup with Ryan or Bob and show your skills. If you are not sure if you are ready to test then this will be a great opportunity to see what testing is like. The next testing date has not been set yet, however expect it to be soon.
Congratulations to Ryan Spink for Passing the Level 4 Instructors Course
Well he did it, Ryan Spink survived another grueling high-intensity instructors course in Long Island NY this past weekend. The five day course was extremely hard, pushing everyone to the breaking point. Moni Aizik, founder and chief instructor of the system, was assisted by Shawn Mozen and Elizabeth Greenman, both level 4 instructors, as he taught the course. All of the candidates were instructed in CKM’s unique method of hand-to-hand, knife and gun defense, as well as ground survival.
After four, 10 hours days of training, with just two, 7 minute breaks per day (no joke); Ryan was tested on day five of the course. The test for level 4 requires the candidate to demonstrate forward, backward, side rolling fall, as well as a forward rolling falls over an object, all on asphalt. Next the candidate must demonstrate all techniques from level 1 to level 4, some 100 plus moves with variations. Last the candidate must survive a 12 minute pressure test.
The pressure test for level 4 is one of the hardest tests there is in CKM. The candidate must face three attackers who have been instructed to go full force, full speed, and to give no cooperation. The attackers are allowed to use guns, knives, baseball bats, and ropes to choke the candidate, as well as the usual punches, kicks, and ground attacks. The pressure is maintained at full speed with non-stop action for a grueling 12 minutes. As the candidate fights his/her way through the mayhem, Moni sits quietly in his chair with clipboard in hand, watching as he marks down any mistakes he sees. The candidate must pass with a score higher than 80 percent in order to pass.
Ryan passed with a high score and was awarded his level 4 instructors certificate. If you see him limping around for the next few days, now you know why.
